Cost Action 22135: DATAMIG Data Matters: Sociotechnical Challenges of European Migration and Border Control

In 2023, the European Cooperation in Science & Technology (COST) approved funding for the research network “Data Matters: Sociotechnical Challenges of European Migration and Border Control” (DATAMIG) to facilitate an international network of researchers; to deepen international collaboration; and to exchange and foster knowledge across disciplines. As part of DATAMIG, the interdisciplinary Working Group 3 LABORATORY invites contributions to a hybrid COST Action workshop. The event will take place as part of the international DATAMIG Conference at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (25-26 June 2024). We invite contributions within a time slot of approx. 15 minutes.

We encourage contributions of different formats incl. (research) presentations, film, performances, artistic projects, participatory interaction formats, etc. The proposal should include if particular technical requirements are needed to be provided by the organization. Please submit your abstract of 300 words, including a short bio, by 25 April 2024 to [email protected].

Please use the header “COST-WG3-Workshops” and indicate your availability (online, on site in Athens). We have a (limited) budget for travel and accommodation reimbursement. The WG leaders and the local workshop coordination group will review submissions. Decisions will be communicated by 30 April 2024.Hybrid workshop of Working Group 3: LABORATORY 25-27 June 2024, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens organized by Cost Action 22135: DATAMIG Data Matters: Sociotechnical Challenges of European Migration and Border Control In 2023, the European Cooperation in Science & Technology (COST) approved funding for the research network “Data Matters: Sociotechnical Challenges of European Migration and Border Control” (DATAMIG) to facilitate an international network of researchers; to deepen international collaboration; and to exchange and foster knowledge across disciplines.
